Two well-known local lecturers, Dr. James McLeod, Chair of the UE Department of History, and Dr. Daniel Byrne, UE Professor of History, will take a historical approach to show how political power is gained and used (and sometimes abused) in democracies vs. autocracies.

They will outline the economic and social consequences when a democracy veers toward autocracy. We look forward to an enlightening presentation followed by a robust audience Q & A. Come join us!
