- **Event Description**: Carina Wahlstrom and the Evansville Flag Group are hosting an event for the 25th anniversary of 9/11 as well as undertaking a project and we need everyone's participation. 

First, we are seeking to pair all 2,977 victims of 9/11 up with individual participants to remember them every year. For FREE, anyone who emails LightALantern911@gmail.com will receive a certificate with a unique victim's name on it. We will then build a memorial at the Remember September Freedom Tree in Garvin Park with everyone's name next to their victim's name on it. 

Next, on September 11th, we will be joined by the Evansville Firefighter Foundation as well release lanterns on the Garvin Park lake. Lanterns are just $10. Email LightALantern911@gmail.com to purchase yours by 9/5. Food trucks will be on site and two spotlights behind the fountain will symbolize the Twin Towers.
