# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Silly Hat Torah - Speakeasy Havdalah
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 08 Nov, 2025 at 05:00 pm
- **Event Description**: Studying Torah shouldn't be for just a few, it should be for everyone! That's why this isn't your dad's Torah study... this is Silly Hat Torah! Join Makom Shalom Mitziut as we launch our BRAND NEW venture in bringing the words of Jewish sacred texts out of the clouds and right to the people.

But, why silly hats? Because Torah is joyful, and so are we! (And also because keeping it informal can help folks feel more comfortable.) Some silly hats will be provided, but you are encouraged bring your own!

To kick off this series of silly, meaningful study sessions, we're having a speakeasy! So bring your libation of choice (with or without alcohol), your hat, and your curiosity as we close out Shabbat and welcome the new week together!

*** NOTE: Some Silly Hat Torah sessions will be family-friendly, but due to the 'speakeasy' nature of this particular evening, we ask that all participants are 21+
