- **Event Description**: I am planning, organizing, and starting the first annual March for Jesus Evanston. After attending the Chicago and Washington DC marches in 2024, I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to start one in Evanston.

Everyone is invited to attend this Sunday, June 28th at 2pm at Fountain Square in downtown Evanston. The address is 1601 Sherman Ave.

The ultimate goal of this event is to witness to Jesus Christ in a public area and invite people to accept Him as their Lord and Savior, thus fulfilling the great commission in which He told the disciples to go out and disciple all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”

Jesus saved me from 10 years of alcoholism. I have been sober since 2022. Depression, anxiety, and addiction no longer control my life.

Jesus saves us from depression, anxiety, alcoholism, drug addiction, loneliness, helplessness, isolation, despair, anguish, hatred, envy, selfish ambition, anger, hostility, dissension, division, arrogance, treachery, recklessness, and a whole plethora of ailments which plague our souls.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” 

At March for Jesus Evanston, the plan is to gather many followers of Christ at the Fountain Square in Evanston. The idea is to have people preaching the Gospel on the microphone, telling stories of healing, repentance, and conversion. A worship team will lead the people in song and praise. Christians will read from the Bible and tell the city about the saving power of Jesus Christ. From there we will walk to the lakefront and back to the downtown area with shouts of praise and songs of joy for the world to hear the message.

God has lavished us with his infinite love. Let us share God's peace, hope, and love. In times of trouble let us have faith and declare to the world that Jesus is alive! America needs Jesus!
