About FATS KAPLIN and KRISTI ROSE:

Husband and wife duo, Kristi Rose & Fats Kaplin are highly revered Nashville based musicians known for their individual work and their collaborative projects. Renown multi-instrumentalist, Fats Kaplin is one of Americaʼs most original instrumental composers and the premier modern interpreter of string band blues, folk, country and world music. His music, full of mystery and lifeʼs rough edge is the equivalent of artʼs “Modern American Primitivism." Fats has been called upon to tour and record with hundreds of artists--Jack White, John Prine, Mitski, Buddy Miller, Elvis Costello, Beck, Tinariwen, Pure Prairie League, Tom Russell, Roy Bookbinder, Jason Ringenberg (of The Scorchers), his own Kane-Welch-Kaplin (Dead Reckoning) and countless others.

Kristi Rose is a powerful and evocative singer and writer. Her musical journey has taken her from country church choir, to the NYC cow-punk scene, where she founded the seminal band “Kristi Rose and the Midnight Walkers," to touring around the world, to her current status as the favored muse and interpreter of numerous composers and lyricists.

Kristi Rose and Fats reside in a world where traditional and modern meet, where desperation and joy commingle. Though they remain firmly rooted in the Americana world, their stage presence evokes memories of the cabarets of 1920‘s Berlin, just as much as the traveling medicine shows of the rural south. It is filled with rags, ballads, waltzes and laments as well as magical sleight of hand and musings on the state of our lives in these modern times. They reach deep into many musical genres and though at times it may seem they are of another era, they are“completely of the moment." 

An evening with Kristi Rose & Fats is filled with instrumental music played on a plethora of instruments,(Guitar, violin, banjo and more) singular vocals, original and classic songs and stories galore. As a duo, Kristi Rose & Fats are beloved in Music City and around the globe.

With her cream and Kahlua voice, Chicago singer-songwriter Naomi Ashley captivates audiences, breathing vibrant life into her diverse range of songs. Navigating seamlessly through Americana, classic country, folk, blues, and rock, Ashley's lyrically layered compositions charm with humor and a poignant understanding of the human experience.

As a performer, Ashley's journey has taken her to renowned Chicagoland stages (FitzGerald’s, SPACE, The Hideout, Hey Nonny, Green Mill, Acorn Theater, Navy Pier) and festivals (FitzGerald’s American Music Festival, Bucktown Arts Fest, Lakeview East Festival of the Arts, Sundays on State), where she has shared her music with diverse audiences.
