Book Bedazzling @ Barnwood Brew

Experience the art of Jólabókaflóð (the "Christmas Book Flood" and pronounced Yo-la-bok-a-flot), the Icelandic tradition where people exchange books on Christmas Eve and spend the night reading them with cozy drinks like hot chocolate, a practice that became popular during WWII due to paper rationing and Iceland's love of literature. "Book Bedazzling" is a modern, fun craft often associated with these events, where you decorate book covers with rhinestones, glitter, and other embellishments for a personalized touch, turning book gifting into a creative, hands-on experience.

In this class, participants will bedazzle their own book using various colorful crystals.

Please bring a book to bedazzle!
