Samhain weekend ♡ the perfect time to honour our ancestors ❤️🔥
WHAT YOU WILL CREATE:
This very special weekend immersion in Sacred crafting is to birth your own Grandmother, Grandfather or Ancestor Doll. Working with old handwork practices, divine fibres and plant spirits, we will honour the grandmothers of this land and the grandmothers in our lineage.
This workshop will allow a spacious unfolding, will be completely guided and yet open-ended - drawing you into a meditative experience where healthy ancestral memories can find expression creatively and even gentle healing can take place.
ABOUT YOUR DOLL:
Your doll will become a deeply comforting companion on your life journey; she can form the centre-piece of a sacred altar for the ancestors and even become a keepsake to pass down the line. She will stand somewhere between 20 and 28cm tall.
Day 1, we begin in ceremony with the creation of a bundle to hold the intentions for your doll. Homegrown medicinal plants and more are placed into the wombspace. This is the starting point for her becoming. I will guide you step by step to turning sheep's wool into form to create her body. Stories and the music we listen to are all woven into what we create.
Day 2. Working with my abundant and thoughtfully curated animal and plant fibres, textiles and all manner of trinkets, I will guide you in the adornment of your doll. There is much magic and memory held in what we work with and you will be inspired to bring her to life in a deeply personal and authentic journey ♡

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: Each time I make an ancestor doll it gives me a chance to take time out of my every day to hold my elders in gratitude and love. It has been such a gentle process - bypassing the rational mind and allowing so many deep knowings to come to light. Stories float in and out each time I work with the fibre to breathe life into a doll. Without realising it, the most incredible connection and healing has taken place. I love each and every one of them. Not for what they look like but who they have become - comforting spirit companions. It has been my honour to hold space for others in birthing sacred creations for over 12 years.

**Cancellations** Please note that because I run workshops with very intimate numbers, and to honour my family's needs, any cancellations are transferable to another person for the same workshop but are non-refundable. And if I need to cancel a workshop for any reason, you will of course be eligible for a credit for the new date or a full refund.
