What is Restorative Wildcrafting?

Restorative wildcrafting is the practice of harvesting invasive plants in a way that supports the health and vitality of native ecosystems. Invasive species can outcompete native plants and disrupt natural habitats, but many also possess remarkable medicinal properties that can be utilized in herbal medicine.

Rooted Remedies believes that as interest in wildcrafting grows, it is essential to pair that enthusiasm with education on ethical, sustainable harvesting practices so our natural areas can continue to thrive for generations to come.

During this workshop, you will:

• Learn about invasive species and the importance of managing their populations from experts in the field

• Explore restorative wildcrafting techniques that support ecosystem health

• Harvest invasive plants while helping restore the native landscape

• Learn how to create fresh infused oils and tinctures from the plants you harvest

• Take home both the herbal preparations you make and additional harvested plant material

? About Saint John's Wort

Saint John's Wort has a long history of use in herbal traditions and is best known for supporting emotional well-being, while also being valued for its topical applications and connection to nervous system health.

During this workshop, you'll learn how to identify, responsibly harvest, and prepare your own Saint John's Wort tincture while gaining a deeper appreciation for the plants growing around us.
