Making this exhibit even more special is our feature of the Letitia Carson Traveling Exhibit by Oregon Black Pioneers in collaboration with Singing Creek Education Center.

This beautiful exhibit details what we know about this courageous woman and her family's quest for life, liberty, and happiness in the unwelcoming territory of Oregon in the 1800's.

The Footnotes on the Butte Exhibit featuring Letitia Carson's story will be available through the end of September.
