•⁠  ⁠BWANA (alternative shoegaze, Oostende) 
BWANA writes and plays all her own instruments, bringing her distinctive indie-pop and shoegaze sound to life with her band. Her sincere, relatable lyrics and intense performances have earned wide attention. Influenced by Slowdive and girl in red, she stood out at Humo’s Rock Rally 2022, reached the finals of Sound Track 2021–2022, and caught the eye of Pukkelpop’s Eppo Janssen as a promising new voice. In 2024, she won Studio Brussels’ Nieuwe Lichting, cementing her place in Belgium’s indie scene. Now, in 2026, Friedel is working on a new EP—teased by the singles “Spun Around” and “I’m Not Gonna Give In.”

•⁠  ⁠PLUSH BABY (art pop, Antwerp)
Plush Baby, two-piece band with Caitlin Talbut (BLOND, BLUAI) and Nicolas Anné (Saving Nico), creates energetic pop songs about growing up in your twenties, in an increasingly crazy world. Inventive melodies, a healthy dose of drama and humor. Sound Track finalist in 2023.  After their first indie pop single “Run Run” in 2024, the band found an authentic and original sound with their debut album “The Heart Department” due out in autumn 2025 on Rotkat Records. Youniss Ahamad and Aram Santy produced this quirky, alternative electro-pop album, which features songs about strangeness, loneliness and the imaginary friends who pop up from time to time.
