Today, Pastor Wally will look at the Gospel of John chapter 19:16-27 titled "The Weight of God’s Love". Jesus was flogged, tortured, beaten and humiliated and declared innocent by Pontius Pilate. What was the charge? Saying He was the King of the Jews. That was the charge that Jesus was executed for, something He didn't say but others said about Him. Even while on the cross, God's love is poured out on us through Jesus. The full weight of all sin was placed on Jesus. He was crucified for on our behalf. He carried the weight of our sin to pay the price of God's righteous law.
