Gegründet 1977, als der Punk nach Deutschland schwappte, waren die CLOX 1980 auf dem legendären, ersten deutschen Punk-Sampler „Schallmauer“ vertreten. Man hatte eine gute, wilde Zeit und machte zB mit ZK, MITTAGSPAUSE oder FEHLFARBEN den Ruhrpott unsicher. Dem HöhePUNKt, der 1983/84er Deutschland-Tour mit den TOTEN HOSEN, folgte die Auflösung der Band im Jahr 1986. 2008 die CLOX-Reunion anlässlich eines Punk-Festivals. Aufgrund der großen Resonanz blieb man am Start, spielte Konzerte u.a. mit TV Smith, The Boys, 999, The Myers sowie Extrabreit. Selbst hochbetagt zeigt man bei den Shows den Jungspunden, wo der Hammer hängt: druckvoll, röhrend, melodisch, voll überzeugend, begeisternd, großartig, mit typischer Ruhrpott-Note.
