This year, our celebration carries an even deeper purpose. This Sigurblót will serve as a fundraiser for START Children’s Center of Rensselaer County, an organization that provides advocacy, education, and compassionate support for children and families impacted by abuse. Their work helps young survivors find safety, healing, and the strength to move forward—true victories in every sense of the word.
In that spirit, we honor not only the victories of the gods and the turning of the seasons—but the victories of survival, of truth, and of a community that refuses to look away.
As the light strengthens and the growing season begins, we come together to acknowledge victories already won—both personal and communal—and to bless our efforts for the season ahead. In honoring the landvættir and the natural world, we reaffirm our responsibility to walk thoughtfully and respectfully upon the earth—and to care for one another with that same devotion.

This will be a shared meal following the blót. Consider foods that are seasonal, home-prepared, locally sourced, or inspired by traditional hearth fare.
All are welcome who come with respect for the gods, the spirits, and the community. Bring a dish to share, an offering if you feel called, and join us as we mark the opening of the summer way—standing together in victory, in care for the land, and in protection of our community.
