If you’ve been thinking about coming but haven’t made it through the door yet, you’re not the only one. Creative spaces can feel like a risk until you’ve experienced them. This one is built to meet you where you’re at.

Once a month, writers gather at the Espanola Public Library for an evening centered on one thing: making space to sit with your own voice.

Each session is shaped around a central focus—an element of craft, a form like poetry or short fiction, or a larger question about writing and where it fits in your life. Through a series of guided activities, you’ll have the chance to explore that theme on the page, follow where your instincts lead, and notice what your writing is trying to do.

There is space to share if you want to, along with a dedicated portion of the evening for discussion and writing support. That might look like feedback on a piece, questions about craft or publishing, or a conversation that helps you better understand your own process. The goal is not to perform, but to deepen your relationship with your work.

Writers at all stages attend. Some are just starting, others have been at this for years. What connects the group is a willingness to engage honestly and give their writing the time and attention it deserves.
If you’ve been waiting to feel ready, consider this your invitation to try it once. You don’t have to commit beyond showing up.
