Initié en 2006, et co-organisé par la Kulturfabrik et le Círculo Cultural Español Antonio Machado en collaboration avec le Escher Theater, le Escher Conservatoire et la Cinémathèque de Luxembourg, le Flamenco Festival Esch est LE rendez-vous annuel des amatrices et amateurs de l’art flamenco.

Lorsque Antón Álvarez, alias C.Tangana, rencontre Yerai Cortés, il est complètement fasciné par son talent et intrigué par son histoire familiale. Yerai est une figure atypique du flamenco, respecté tant par les gitans les plus traditionalistes que par les artistes avant-gardistes de la nouvelle vague dont il fait partie. Ils décident d'entreprendre un voyage ensemble pour enregistrer un album dont les chansons sont empreintes d'une grande tristesse, où le processus artistique lui-même le confronte à son passé et le pousse à explorer un secret de famille à travers lequel il tente de se réconcilier avec ses parents. Le résultat est un film qui développe une expérience musicale unique pour nous plonger dans une histoire de passion, d'amour et de pardon.
