- **Event Description**: Cape Fear River Rendezvous is our annual community based paddle trip.  This will be our 3rd year hosting this event in conjunction with ACA's Summer Solstice program.  We will start at NCWRC's Wildlife Road and paddle 8 miles to the public takeout at the Cape Fear River Trail Park in Erwin.  This trip is open to everyone and registration is not required.  The 8 miles section does contain some rapids but all are beginner friendly for all types of kayaks, canoes, and even a paddleboard if you are up to 8 miles.  The last couple trips have had over 40 paddlers so it must be fun.  Stay tuned for more details as we get closer.

Just a reminder that this event is coordinated and promoted by ACA so all standards apply such as Life Jackets/PFDs must be worn by all participants at all times on or near the water.  Additionally helmets must be worn by anyone wearing a skirt on their kayak or strapped in to a canoe.  Helmets are HIGHLY recommended for all paddlers during 4 small sections.  If a paddler does not have a helmet we have some extra but need to know ahead of time.
