Join Erie Arts & Culture for a special look inside Use the Groove, a program that places New American artists in local childcare centers as song coaches. Together, artists and educators build a repertoire of joyful songs reflecting Erie’s diverse African, Nepali, Syrian, and Ukrainian communities. Teachers then bring these songs into their classrooms, using music to support social skills and turn everyday routines like lining up, cleaning up, and transitioning between activities into moments of connection and fun.

Hear directly from song coaches, childcare leaders, and teachers about their experiences with the program—and, of course, hear a few of the tiny but mighty songs that make Use the Groove so special!
