Each week, you’ll work from iconic artworks while learning techniques artists have used for centuries, from color mixing to brushwork to composition.Class Dates:This class meets on Saturdays from 11am-1pm for 4 weeks. April 25May 2May 9May 16The vibe is relaxed and social, but you’ll still walk away with real skills and a deeper understanding of how paintings come together.We’ll cover:• Color mixing and layering• Brush techniques and paint application• Composition and proportion• Turning a reference image into your own painted versionHigh quality prints will be provided, or bring an image of a favorite piece you’ve always wanted to try.By the end, you’ll have your own take on a masterpiece and probably a new appreciation for the originals.Materials and supplies provided.All skill levels welcome.Only 10 spots available.For students 16+.Instructor: Alex StrasserClassroom: Painting Studio, Room 118.Parking:Free parking is available in the ECAT Wayne parking lot outside of business hours. The lot entrance is on E 7th St (one way) and includes accessible spaces near the front entrance.Cancellations and Refunds:We’re excited to run each class as planned, but a minimum number of participants is needed. If enrollment is low, we may need to reschedule or cancel. If that happens, you can transfer to a similar class or receive a full refund.If your plans change, you can receive a full refund with at least one week’s notice before the first class. Cancellations made within one week of the start date are not eligible for a refund.
