This is an in-person potluck, with the following agenda:

Our feature for this event…. You, Our Membership!:  We invite all members to share their work. We encourage everyone, whether you chose to read or not, to bring any published works you have to sell at the event.

Also, we will be having a Blind Date with a Book (Swap) –  hosted by our very own Events Coordinator, Mica Rich!

If you’d like to participate in this activity, here’s what you’ll need to know:  Please take a book of poetry and wrap it in brown paper, tissue paper, or a gift bag so that a reader cannot see the cover or title when picking it up. Please then write a few bullet points on the paper (or an attached card) that describe the book without using the author or title. For example: if I were to bring a book of Shakespearean sonnets, my bullet points might be “Classic poet” “form poems” “expert use of rhythm and meter.”. There will be a table for you to leave your book and where you can peruse for one to take home. Examples of what types of books you can bring: collections by single poets, anthologies, journals/magazines/periodicals, chapbooks, books on writing poetry. Just think of it as setting up a reader on a date with your favorite work. We look forward to seeing what everyone brings.

We will have time to socialize and to field any questions or comment you might have.  Come and join us for what is sure to be a fun event with food, friends, and poetry!
