Charter Day

Celebrate Pennsylvania’s Charter Day with us on Sunday, March 8, from 12PM–4PM at Historic Ephrata Cloister! 🎉

This statewide celebration honors the 1681 charter granted to William Penn by King Charles II with FREE admission to PHMC sites, including Historic Ephrata Cloister!

Enjoy an afternoon of engaging activities, live demonstrations (printing, spinning, weaving & more), and a guided cemetery tour exploring Ephrata’s historic burial grounds.

Don’t miss the Ephrata Cloister Chorus performing inside the historic 1741 Meetinghouse at 1:30PM, 2:30PM, or 3:30PM with 20 minute sessions of historic music. Timed-entry wristbands are required and available at the Information Table near the Visitor Center. 🎶
