We have a Spring Showcase set up for Friday, May 1st at 6:00PM! Your gymnast(s) are beginning to learn their routines in anticipation of this event. This showcase is specifically designed for our recreational gymnasts to have an opportunity to showcase the skills they have been working on in class. These skills have been put into routines for each “event” (Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor or Mushroom, Pommel, Rings, etc.), which your gymnast will be working on up until the showcase. This showcase is a fun and empowering opportunity to highlight their progress while receiving support and praise from our coaches and audience. These types of events help build self-morale, promotes determination, memory skills, an added focus.
This showcase is for the following levels:
• Mighty Peaks
• Level 1/2 Boys
• Level 1/2 Girls
• Level 3/4 Girls
• Level 5/6 Girls
VIEWING: Since viewing space is still tricky, we are asking that guests are limited to 2 adults + siblings. We will have the upstairs and downstairs available for viewing this year.
COST: $60 per gymnast (no tax)
REGISTER BY: April 15th
ROUTINES: Memorizing routines is a big part/challenge of this showcase. Since we have new routines this year, we are attaching them all for your gymnast if they want to go through it at home (levels are notated at the top of each page). For beam, you can create a line with tape or markings on the floor to help. There may be some scaling on certain skills like a pullover and we don’t expect them to practice their bar work from home. Coaches will be with them and can spot if needed and help them remember as they are actively showcasing. Videos of the routines are below as well! Lastly, flyers with routines on the back are being passed out to the gymnasts who want to take them home and practice.
CLINIC: Please note, we also have an extra clinic for those who want a little added practice right before the showcase on a Saturday morning. You can register for this on the portal as well.
