Mountain Clean-Up

Join us on Friday, July 11th from 10 am to 3 pm to seek out those tiny pieces of trash and recyclables we haven't yet discovered. Prizes will be awarded in various categories for the most interesting finds.

Participants will receive a trash bag, trail snacks and assigned a clean up zone upon check in at the base area. From there, you’ll proceed to your assigned area to collect litter while hiking down and soaking up the beauty of the Cascade range. After turning in & weighing your trash back at the base area, we invite you to hang out on the sun deck, eat some food and soak up the sun. At 2:30pm we’ll announce the winners of the treasure hunt.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE. Event registration is limited to 100 total participants. Participants must pre-register. To show our appreciation, we are offering trash collectors trail snacks, free ride up the Mt. Rainier Gondola and lunch upon completion. Join us as we work to keep Crystal Mountain beautiful!

• Most Trash Collected (weight of bag)

Prizes are Crystal Mountain Gift Cards plus products from our sponsors.

Schedule for the Day

• 9:30am | Check-in opens at the Crystal Mountain base area
• 10:00 am | Ride gondola, hike & clean up your assigned zone
• 1:00 pm | Lunch starts at base area
• 2:30 pm | Treasure Hunt Contest winners announced
• 3:00 pm | End of Event

What to Bring

• Backpack
• Dress in layers (check the weather forecast)
• Sturdy shoes
• Water bottle
• Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
• Gloves
• Garbage grabbers (if you have them)

Rules & Policies

• Please be aware this site has uneven terrain and some steep slopes. Safety info will be provided.
• Please observe and obey all area closures.
• Age Requirements: age minimum 6+ (with adult), minimum age without adult 16.
• Participants must sign up in advance of the event through Eventbrite.
• All participants must check in by 10am in order to participate. No late arrivals.
