- **Event Description**: Welcome to the inaugural Oak & Iron, a Brisbane-based Longsword Introduction Cup.

This tournament has been thoughtfully designed with newer fencers in mind, featuring a ruleset that prioritises learning, enjoyment, and the development of fundamental skills. The aim is to create an environment that is both safe and expressive, giving participants the opportunity to step into competition at a comfortable and manageable level while experiencing the unique excitement that tournaments provide.

The day is dedicated to supporting emerging fencers as they take this step, fostering confidence, growth, and a genuine appreciation for the art of longsword fencing.

This competition is being hosted by Vanguard School of Swordsmanship

Entry will not operate on a first-come, first-served basis; instead, priority will be given to newer fencers, in keeping with the spirit and purpose of the event.

Entry will be $40 and you will be notified if you have qualified, with payment options. 

Gear requirements will be released at a later date and will align with standard longsword safety guidelines.
