Prevention Conference: Sustaining Impact Across Generations - March 2026

Building on the foundation laid in Building Brighter Futures, this second installment of the Prevention Conference will focus on sustaining long-term impact in prevention work. The event will feature two dedicated streams of presentations tailored to the unique needs of both directors/managers and frontline prevention staff.

Director/Manager Stream

This stream will explore strategic leadership topics, including:

- Recruiting and retaining the right staff

- Performance management best practices

- Roles and responsibilities of First Nations Representative Services

Frontline Staff Stream

Designed for those working directly with families and communities, this stream will include sessions on:

- Facilitating parenting groups

- Understanding trauma and the brain

- Family Group Conferencing

All-Staff Workshops

In addition to the focused streams, all attendees will benefit from workshops on:

- Prevention programming through the lifecycle

- Navigating workplan cycles and program evaluation for continuous improvement

- Caring for the caregiver: strategies for wellness and resilience
