- **Event Description**: It’s that time of year again and it’s getting close to putting up your May Bushes! ?

If you’re free at 7pm on Thursday the 30th of April (May Eve), join us in Ballindaggin Village for our annual decoration of the village May Bush. Now in its 9th year, Ballindaggin was the first community in Wexford to revive this old tradition and we stick to the tradition of having the bush up on the Eve of May Day. 

With the help of the local Ballindaggin Tidy Towns and Development Group, the event grows each year and brings a welcome burst of colour and sunshine to the village. Each year, we link in with the local National School, and the procession is led by May Queens and Kings from the senior and junior classes. 

Th procession music provided by our very own St. Colman's Pipe Band and with traditional music and tunes around the May Bush provided by Deirdre Jordan and friends.

Everyone is welcome and please bring your own painted eggshells, flowers, and ribbons for the village May Bush. By the way, I have compiled these pages to let you know more about the tradition and how you can participate.
