WHAT’S ON: Our incredible programme includes TALKS with leading Brontë Experts from the UK and Ireland, a FREE SCREENING of the BBC film To Walk Invisible, an ART WORKSHOP with a leading Clare-based Artist, and a GUIDED WALKING TOUR of Kilkee with a locally based playwright and tour guide!

FREE FILM SCREENING: TO WALK INVISIBLE Join us for a FREE screening of the acclaimed BBC film. The film brilliantly explores the intense Brontë family dynamics, the tragic early deaths of their mother and siblings, alongside their lives in the wildly beautiful yet isolated Yorkshire moors.

DON’T MISS OUR LINE-UP OF TALKS:
ANN DINSDALE (Principal Curator, Brontë Parsonage Museum) Drawing on her 36 YEARS at the museum. Ann will share insights from her role as an advisory consultant on the film To Walk Invisible. This is your RARE CHANCE to ask her your most pressing Brontë questions!

SHARON WRIGHT The AWARD-WINNING biographer will shine a spotlight on Maria Branwell, the Brontës’ often-forgotten Cornish mother.

UEL WRIGHT will discuss the fascinating publication by his great-great-uncle, William Wright, who carefully documented the oral histories of Patrick Brontë (father of the famous sisters) in County Down. William gathered these remarkable accounts directly from those who lived alongside the family.

FESTIVAL WORKSHOPS & EXPERIENCES This weekend isn't just about the amazing Brontë novels and their lives ; it's also an opportunity to PARTICIPATE, ENGAGE, and CREATE. The Brontës absolutely loved being outside, so weather permitting, we will be taking to our beautiful local surroundings!

All the Bronte siblings drew and painted and this year we are very excited to offer a SEASCAPE PAINTING & SKETCHING WORKSHOP. Hosted by leading Clare-based artist Ruth Wood. (Weather permitting, we'll be sketching right at the cliffs!)

GUIDED BRONTË WALK. Join Festival Director and locally based playwright Jenny Bassett for a unique guided tour. Explore the historic footsteps of Charlotte’s 1854 honeymoon, exactly as reimagined in Jenny's most recent play.

There’s also the POP-UP BOOKSTALL run by James Scully from the Banagher Brontë Group to explore at Cultúrlann Sweeney Theatre. Browse a hand-picked gallery foyer filled with literary gems.
