Join us on Saturday 27th June at 11am for a Cherry Laurel Information Day with the Restore Ballymacraven River Association (RBRA).

For the past 3 years, with the help of volunteers, we've been working to remove invasive Cherry Laurel along the river and planted over 3,000 native saplings in its place. We will be speaking on our methodology and approach for removing this invasive species from The Glen. 

We're excited to be joined by the @gaelicwoodlandproject, who will share their approach to removing invasive Laurel and turning it into a source of free biofuel.

Cherry Laurel is one of Ireland's most problematic invasive plant species. It spreads rapidly, creating dense shade that suppresses native plants, reduces biodiversity, and prevents the natural regeneration of woodlands.
