One of our fellow community members Martin Fennell is involved in driving a campaign for a fundraiser for MS Ireland. We would love to support him in taking on this challenging open water row from Kilkee, around Loop Head, and up the Shannon Estuary to Carrigaholt.

This is a paddle for adults and experienced paddlers. Children MUST be accompanied by their parents or responsible adult.

This is a sea paddle and the conditions are looking ideal. There should be little swell, temperature of 15 upwards and no clouds.

The plan is to arrive for 9.30am, in the water for 10 and out by 12.30.. Pack up and a 15min drive to Carraigaholt where we will join the welcoming party, as we anticipate the return of Martin on his 50km paddle.

You can expect some lovely cave exploring, wonderful rock formations, rock jumping and maybe a bit of snorkling. We originally did this paddle back in 2022 and it was a great success.

People to bring their own gear, lifejackets are a must, and a sneaky snack for afterwards is optional.
