Students should bring a swatch made as instructed below.
Ever look at your work and think, “What did I just do?” In this skill-building class, you’ll learn how to visually read your knitting so you can confidently identify knit vs. purl stitches, recognize twisted stitches, track your rows, and spot common mistakes before they become big problems. Perfect for beginners and advancing knitters who want fewer frogging sessions and more control over their projects.
🧶 Skill Level: Advanced Beginner (must know how to knit, purl, cast on, and bind off)
🧵 Homework (bring this to class):
Cast on 30 stitches
Work 4 rows in garter stitch
Then work 8 rows in this pattern:
5 stitches in garter
20 stitches in stockinette
5 stitches in garter
Leave the swatch on your needles and bring it to class
