Nearly 150 miles are split into 24, bite sized walks.This walk will cover Section 17 from Cockfosters to Enfield Lock. This is not a circular route. It is a green walk through woods, fields, parkland and along a winding brook in North London. It is labelled a hard because it is long walk for confident fast walkers only.Terrain: The route is mostly flat, along good paths.What to Wear & Bring:• Supportive walking boots or waterproof shoes• Weather-appropriate layers (woodland areas can feel cooler)• Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (if warm weather)• 1.5–2 litres of water• Packed lunch and snacksToilets: At start of walk and towards the end of the walkTransport : We recommend arriving by public transport to this hike as we start and finish at diffent locations. The walk starts and ends at a station.This event will be led by a BGH trained walk leader.
