An evening to ground into yourself, reconnect with your inner light, and create something beautiful to carry it home.
Led by Melissa for the yoga experience and  Dodie of Mindful Pottery by Dodie for the clay experience, Ground & Illuminate brings movement, mindfulness, creativity, and community together for one intentional evening.

We’ll begin on the mat with a slow, grounding yoga practice centered around the light that lives within each of us—the part of you that remains steady, warm, and present even when life feels heavy or busy.

Through grounding breathwork, gentle flowing movement, sun salutations, and intentional heart-opening shapes, we’ll explore gratitude, connection, and the things that allow us to shine more fully. You’ll be invited to notice what may have been living in the shadows, what no longer serves you, and where you’re ready to bring a little more light.

The practice will mirror the process of working with clay: grounding into the earth, softening what has become rigid, shaping what wants to emerge, and illuminating what supports our wellbeing.

From the mat, we’ll move into our clay experience.
With your own two hands, you’ll shape a one-of-a-kind candle vessel—a physical reminder of the light you’ve uncovered within yourself. Using clay, natural materials, stamps, and hole punches, you’ll create a piece entirely your own, designed to glow when illuminated from within.

Before leaving, you’ll select a glaze for your piece. It will then be professionally finished and returned to Serenity approximately 3–4 weeks later. A flickering votive candle will be included so your finished piece is ready to illuminate your space.
Everything you need for the entire experience will be provided. Come empty-handed and simply allow yourself to be present. You’re welcome to bring a water if you’d like.

Light refreshments will also be served as we create, connect, and spend the evening together.

And the experience doesn’t have to end when we leave that night. A reunion yoga practice and pottery pickup will be held October 23 from 5:30pm-6:30pm for anyone who would like to return to the mat, reconnect with the community, and see their finished piece illuminated for the first time. This is a separate registration and will be bookable under "Ground & illuminate: Pick Up for $10.
