He was first introduced to yoga in high school and later became a certified Kundalini teacher in 2005. Since then he has taught for over 20 years mostly in the NYC area at various studios and Rikers Island Pr*son. He has led Kundalini Yoga & Meditation and Sound classes in Encinitas, California for the past 4 years at Soul of Yoga. As a teacher, Mark is a devoted student first. Over many years, he studied in depth with various teachers, learning sound meditation and other wisdom from a Nihang Sikh Saint in Northern India, energy healing techniques from Indigenous Mexican Elders, studying Kundalini yoga and assisting yoga trainings with master-level teachers; and studying and practicing Reiki, achieving a master-level certification. He loves to share his passion for the Kundalini teachings, healing and his experience through teaching. His classes are focused on the energetics of yoga, breath work, sound and chanting. He is known for his gong playing, sound healing and meditative classes.
