- **Event Description**: Help us care for the riparian buffer at the Emmaus Public Library! Join fellow volunteers as we work together to remove invasive plants, including knotweed and other non-native species, to improve habitat for wildlife and support a healthier stream ecosystem.

Whether you can stay for an hour or the entire event, your help makes a difference. Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome. If you have hand tools such as clippers, loppers, pruning saws, or sturdy gloves, please bring them along. We will demonstrate which plants to remove.

What to Bring:

-Clippers, loppers, or other hand tools (if you have them)
-Work gloves
-Water or another hydrating drink
-A positive attitude and willingness to help!

Please Dress Appropriately:

Wear closed-toe shoes or boots.
Dress for the weather and consider wearing long pants.
Apply sunscreen and insect repellent as needed.

Safety Reminder:
Volunteers participate at their own risk and are responsible for using their tools safely. Please only use tools you are comfortable operating and be mindful of those working around you. Safety is our top priority, so take your time and ask questions if you're unsure of the best way to remove a plant.
