Join Kat Collins for this 4-week class, starting Sunday, January 11th through Sunday, February 1st from 1p-4p. Every painting holds a story beneath its surface. In this 4-week class, you’ll learn how to build depth, texture, and emotion through Kat Collins’ signature layering process. Each session will guide you deeper into the world of mixed media painting, exploring techniques with acrylics, collage, inks, charcoal, and mark-making.
You’ll discover how to:
-Create expressive underpaintings that capture energy and movement
-Build depth with transparent layers, collage, and texture
-Balance spontaneity with intentional choices
-Develop your own visual language and unique voice
-Know when a painting is finished (and when to keep going)
No experience is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Whether you’re new to painting or looking to expand your practice, this workshop will give you the tools and freedom to create layered works that are rich in meaning and uniquely your own.
All supplies are included; however, if you have collage materials/ephemera that you want to bring, you're welcome to!
The registration cost includes an art kit provided by Kat.
Your kit includes:
