Daniel Simonsen

Norwegian-Chilean, New York–forged, and internationally acclaimed, Daniel has quietly become a favorite of the NYC comedy scene with shout-outs from Andrew Schulz, Chris Distefano, Stavros Halkias, Andrew Santino, Ralph Barbosa and more. He was named New York’s Funniest at the 2022 New York Comedy Festival, won the UK’s So You Think You’re Funny, and earned Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

You’ve seen him on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar. His appearance on Russell Howard’s Good News racked up over 2.4 million YouTube views.

On screen, Daniel recurs on My Two Cars (Adult Swim), appeared in Let’s Start A Cult, starred in his own digital series Daniel for ALL4 alongside Natasia Demetriou and Brett Goldstein, and recurred on the BBC sitcom House of Fools with Matt Berry.

A regular at the Comedy Cellar, Daniel opens for Louis C.K. and has toured with Bert Kreischer and Stavros Halkias. His comedy is smart, offbeat, and deceptively sharp — the kind that sneaks up on you and leaves the whole room howling.
