Join us for an afternoon of tradition, craft, and shared table ritual as we explore the art of pysanky — the Ukrainian practice of wax-resist egg decoration. Guided through the process step-by-step, participants will learn how to draw intricate patterns with wax and layer color through dye, revealing designs that emerge slowly through patience and care.
Rooted in symbolism and seasonal renewal, pysanky invites mindfulness and attention to detail, transforming simple materials into meaningful objects.
Alongside the workshop, guests will enjoy a tasting of traditional kvass and paska, offering a sensory connection to the cultural context of this practice through food and fermentation.
No prior experience is necessary. All materials are provided.
Come make, learn, and gather in community as we welcome spring through color, ritual, and shared experience.
