🎉🐾 Wiener Dog Races at Nelson’s Pumpkin Patch! 🐾🎉
📅 Race Day: Saturday, September 20, 2025 | 3:30 PM
📍 Check-in begins at 3:00 PM at the designated entrance outside Nelson’s Pumpkin Shack.
Get ready for one of the most adorable events of the season — our First Annual Wiener Dog Races!, We’re racing for a cause! 🧡🐶 All entry fees will be donated to Journey Home Animal Rescue.
🎟 Event Admission:
A $15.00 + tax wristband is required for all guests to enter Nelson’s Pumpkin Patch. Children under 3 are free.
🐶 Dog Race Categories:
Each pup may only compete in ONE category (space is limited to 10 dogs per group):
*Vienna Sausage – Baby dachshunds up to 3 years old
*Hotdogs – 4 to 7 years old
*Brauts – 8 years and up (Senior Wiener Dogs)
*Wiener Wannabes – Small dogs that aren’t dachshunds
👉 Please note: If we do not have enough registered dogs in a category, some categories may be combined so that every pup gets a chance to race.
💸 Registration Details:
Pre-register by September 18, 2025, for a discounted rate of $10 per dog. Day-of registration is $20.

🏁 Race Format & Rules:
• Dogs race off-leash using a starting gate system
• Race length is 20 yards
• Each pup needs two humans—one at the start and one at the finish
• You may use treats or toys to coax your pup
• Please clean up after your dogs
• Secure footwear required—no flip-flops or loose shoes
• Dogs must be up-to-date on rabies and vaccinations
• Judges’ decisions are final; disruptive behavior may lead to disqualification

🥇 1st Place – $75
🥈 2nd Place – $50
