Named after an unspoilt location on the River Deben in Suffolk, the natural world provides the canvas where they paint stirring vignettes of British landscapes and detailed portraits of human vulnerability. Kelly’s songbird vocals and lyrical piano blend with David’s shimmering guitar and honest voice, often evoking Laurel Canyon and CSN harmonies, alongside compositions more firmly rooted in UK soil.

To open the evening, we will have a set from Vic Lennard. Brought up in the east of London, Vic spent his teenage years around the local folk scene. Watching the likes of John Martyn, Bert Jansch and Davey Graham, his guitar playing embraced their skills along with the more traditional finger-picking styles of James Taylor and Paul Simon. His songwriting ranges from serious songs to comedy tunes, each with its own back story.
