The Chickadee Club is a Folk School experience designed for our littlest making hands, hearts and minds. Children ages 4-5 are invited to explore their imaginations through arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and movement. With nature as our primary creative playground and material source, and we will celebrate the Northwoods as place, experiment with our senses, and make new friends.

Sign up for each 2 hour session individually! 

Join us on future Friday morning sessions on June 19th, July 10th, July 24th, and August 7th. 

Led by Jen Toddie, EFS Youth and Family Program Coordinator.

Jen lives with her family on a wooded homestead in Ely and delights in the magic of making! She has been an educator for over 30 years, teaching middle  and high school social studies, social and emotional wellness, reading, writing, preschool and Elementary Montessori. She has taught and facilitated summer classes for youth at the Ely Folk School for the past three years, witnessing the joy children experience when they experiment with their  creative spirits, whether it be through cooking in the mud kitchen, storytelling, building relationships, growing a garden, or making art that connects them more deeply to themselves, the natural world  and their community.
