Plants grow all around us, quietly waiting to be noticed. If you’ve ever felt curious about what’s growing along the trail, come join us for a gentle stroll in the woods.

This is a relaxed, community style walk where we will enjoy nature together while pausing here and there to meet the plants that catch our eye. Along the way, you’ll be introduced to simple ways to begin recognizing a few local plants, with bits of knowledge shared naturally as we go. Jaime will weave in how she works with some of these plants, along with light guidance around awareness and safety.

More than anything, this is a chance to slow down, be outside, and begin seeing the landscape around you in a new way, together.  

This class will meet at the Ely Folk School, and students will have the option to carpool or caravan to a nearby destination. This class will run rain or shine! If weather prevents outdoor exploration, plants and identification books can be perused indoors.
