# Event Details - **Event Name**: Elroy's Winter Lights - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 28 Nov, 2025 at 09:00 pm - **Event Description**: Please consider joining the “Winter Lights” display this holiday season down at Schultz Park sponsored by the Elroy Area Chamber and the Elroy Lions club. Inspired and mentored by the Sunshine Movement, we want to work with local businesses, clubs, and community members to decorate the park for the holidays. First, we invite you to join us by decorating a campsite or tree down at the park. As this is a fundraiser for both community clubs, the cost for a campsite is $75 or $40 for a Tree spot (about 10 foot). More details are available on the Guideline sheet. After the registration form is completed - A number will be emailed to you with your name, business or organization within a day or two. Decorating can begin as of November 15th. Saturday, November 29th- practice night time lighting power check at 6:30 (we will let you know if a major issue). Sunday, November 30th at 6pm first lighting for the public. Tear down can be done as of January 3rd but must be clear by April 1st. Tips and reminders: 1. Please share photos of you or your group decorating. The more lights the merrier! LOTS of lights! Please Tag the Elroy Area Chamber and the Elroy Lions Club. #elroywinterlights 2. Secure your display as much as possible, it gets very windy at the park. Use tent stakes, sandbags or concrete blocks to weigh down trees. The Lions club has a few pallets if you would like to use them. NO FENCE POSTS ALLOWED! 3. Paper and cardboard displays, while very pretty, do not always hold up to the wet weather. Inflatables are nice, remember you need a good projector light or plenty of other lights to make sure they are visible at night. 5. Good quality extension cords are best, try to be sure to keep all plugs and joints up off the ground. We will supply a cord to your space if you have a tree space (one plug in that you can branch off of). 6. Wrapping a tree in lights makes for a very pretty and simple display. Make sure your display name is visible and lighted if possible. We love solar lights for this!
