Weaving Workshop

Join us for an afternoon relaxing and creating together at our Round Weaving Workshop with instructor Jess Klein!

Jess Klein is a local working artist here in Burlington, NC. She relocated to the area with her family after several cross country moves and has enjoyed the journey. Jess pursued degrees in art and art education with a concentration in Metalsmithing. She considers herself very fortunate to share a variety of art forms with others through self expression and conceptual art making. Jess works for the Recreation and Parks department through the City of Burlington, hosting art courses, hikes, and kayak paddles. She loves to spend time outside and make meaningful connections in her community.

With this class, the $40 fee includes a color-curated kit of fibers, available in a variety of colors that will include everything you need to get started on an 8” round weaving.

Jess Klein will be on hand to help you get started with warping your loom, to teach a variety of different stitch techniques, and to help you through any issues you may encounter. If you are not finished at the end of the two hour session, take your materials with you and continue working on your own or join us for the next weaving workshop for further instruction and guidance!
