Mats, blankets, pillows, and chairs are provided in the space to suit your meditative preference. The sanctuary is a safe space, a sober space, and a confidential space. It is also a low-fragrance space, so please do not wear strong deodorants, perfume or cologne.
“Sound healing” has taken on much the same meaning as “faith healing” in modern usage, and that is not what we do. While some people may experience relaxation or temporary pain relief during a session, we are not curing cancer or mending broken bones with a sound bath.
By creating a safe place and a safe place, we welcome you into a soundscape where you can do the work of processing your own stress, emotional guarding, grief, and pain. Sound bathing is a way to heal the fracture between yourself and the cosmos, restoring you to connection with the song behind your soul. Over time, it can help you re-entrain to the great harmonic field of creation.
Think of it this way:
Pain is something that happens to you — a wound.
Suffering is what you choose to keep.
Wounds heal.
Suffering persists only when it is fed.
Healing, in our context, means releasing suffering after the wound has closed.
In modern culture, it has become fashionable to remain perpetually traumatized; to keep picking the scab, rehearsing the story, polishing the ache. These sessions are not about curating your pain. They are about laying it down.
Our healing work is about closure. About integration. About remembering how to belong to yourself again.
You are invited to leave your suffering and old stories here in the sanctuary, and carry only your living breath back into your life.
