About the event

Tommy Tough Fundraiser
Hi everyone! We are back for the 6th Annual TOMMY TOUGH FUNDRAISER!

After last years absolutely unbelievable performance, we are trying this year to break last years total of $17,951. Year after year this event has grown and been able to make such an incredible impact on cancer research for LLS. My family and I are forever grateful for having such amazing friends in our lives. The cause we host this for goes toward Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for cancer research to help oust these terrible blood cancers once and for all. Let’s make this the biggest Tommy tough yet! We will have catered food from Dileo’s, who has been an unbelievable and very generous donor over the years, the band from our inaugural year is making a return with music by Jeremy Mederich, and of course a great venue at the Spring Inn with host Pete Harmon. I want to thank all our donors and friends for helping us put this together. We are looking to have a silent raffle (any donations are graciously accepted). Please spread the word, bring your friends, and let’s make this the biggest and best Tommy tough yet! AUGUST 16th 2:45pm SPRING INN! We have made it to just under 100K, and this is the year we make history. As promised, I have registered for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and will be running on behalf of LLS. Looking forward to seeing all of you amazing people. I love you all and God bless! Let’s get TOUGH!🧡

I've decided to fundraise for this cause because almost 8 years ago my Uncle Tom passed away after a long battle with a very acute form of Leukemia. Tommy was known for his huge heart, his kindness, and his love for everyone. One memory I have to share of him was a story that my Uncle Dave shared with me. The two were downtown at the Rock N Roll McDonald's when a group of teenagers came in all dressed up like they were going to prom. Tommy asked them " What are you all doing here dressed up so nice? You should be at prom". They informed them that their school was underfunded and that they didn't have funding for a prom so they just got dressed up for a night out on the town. Without saying a word, my uncle Tom left the McDonald's, and came back with 16 bouquets of flowers for each couple that was there and told them " There is a limo outside for you to take you around the city for the night. Have a great prom".

My uncle was one of the greatest people I have ever known. In my eyes, he was a living angel who never expected anything from anyone, but would give you the shirt off his back. His battle with cancer was a tough one, but he never let it affect his happiness, strength, and his positivity. I am keeping this tradition going in his memory so we can help raise money for LLS, and so my uncle can watch us raise money and ultimately help crush blood cancer.

Your donation will help fund treatments that save lives every day; like immunotherapies that use a person’s own immune system to K*ll cancer. You may not know it, but every single donation helps save a life with breakthrough therapies such as these.

With the help of all of you, hopefully we can raise enough money to help crush this terrible disease and help people struggling with it get past it and defeat it.

Tommy Tough bracelets will be for sale at the door for $35 and all proceeds will go to the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society. The bracelet deal includes discounted drinks for the duration of the fundraiser, and pizza and food that will be provided.

My family and I greatly appreciate your love and support over the years and we could not be more grateful to have all of you in our lives!

It is open invitation so please bring whoever! The more the merrier! We hope to see you all there! God Bless!

For all those who cannot attend and still would like to donate you can make your donation here!
