Mahjong 102: Practice & Play

Come join us at Brewpoint Coffee in Elmhurst for the next steps in building your confidence in playing American Mahjong. After some quick coaching on the basics, we'll spend time on the Charleston and choosing a hand, as well as some pointers on defensive play and overall strategy.

This class is a natural next step for those who have had some Mahjong instruction but want some additional focused practice and play with instructional coaching.

Angela Buikema from Mahjong Mischief will guide you step by step in a friendly, small-group setting. (Angela is a certified Oh My Mahjong Instructor and a member of the Mahj Life Instructor Guild.) All teaching materials and mahjong sets are provided. Teaching assistants will also provide additional coaching and explanations table-side.

We’ll begin promptly at 6:30 pm, so arrive a little early to get a drink, find your seat, and settle in before class begins.

Food & Drinks:

Brewpoint’s evening coffee, cocktail & charcuterie menu will be available for purchase. Just bring it to the table and enjoy while you play. (FYI - Brewpoint is now cashless.)
