A Gathering for Peace

In a time when collective healing and unity are deeply needed, The Agape House invites the community to gather in stillness, prayer, and shared intention at A Gathering for Peace on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 2–5 PM at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Elmhurst.

Join us for a sacred afternoon of stillness, prayer, meditation, and collective intention.

This is not a guided event nor a church sponsored event. No one will be leading prayer or meditation. Instead, the sanctuary will be held as a peaceful, self-directed space where you may:

• Pray silently
• Meditate
• Rest
• Lay on a mat or blanket
• Sit quietly in reflection

The event will flow in three one-hour cycles:

2–3 PM
3–4 PM
4–5 PM

Each hour will close with gentle chanting and a communal Om circle.

Donation Details
• Minimum donation: $10
• UCC members: $7 minimum
• No one turned away for lack of funds
• Cash donations accepted at the door
• Participants may increase their donation at any time

• If staying beyond one hour, an additional donation (cash only) is requested

Neighborhood Working for Peace (Neighborhood Working for Peace will have an informational table near registration.)


Upon Arrival
• You will receive a bracelet indicating your hour of participation

• Two bracelet colors per hour:

Consenting to receive Reiki

Not consenting to receive Reiki


If you extend your stay, you’ll receive an updated bracelet


A Reiki information flyer will be available at the registration table.


You will also receive a flower as a symbol of peace and shared intention. You may keep it as a reminder of your commitment to peace or place it on the community mandala altar — contributing to a living tapestry of collective prayer.

Come for one hour or stay for three.
