With proper planning and training, the firestopping process is greatly simplified, costs are reduced, and facility owners are provided with code-compliant firestop systems, thereby enhancing life safety and property protection.This comprehensive, competency-based course is designed to educate and train participants in the fundamentals needed to become a resident firestop specialist. The goal is to equip the participant with the knowledge and tools needed to return home and serve as a resident expert in confirming whether or not firestop installations are code compliant.This course is non-proprietary to specific brands and as such is accredited with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for 16 LU/HSW credits, 12 BICSI CECs.
