- **Event Name**: 🍸🌭 Martinis & Weenies: Museum of Ellinwood Roof Fundraiser Kick-Off
- **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 12 Oct, 2026 at 05:00 pm – Mon, 12 Oct, 2026 at 07:00 pm (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: Help us put a roof over Ellinwood's history.

Join the Museum of Ellinwood for Martinis & Weenies, an Oktoberfest-style evening to kick off our campaign to repair or replace the roof on the Museum of Ellinwood.

We'll have non-alcoholic martinis and hotdogs, with plenty of time to visit, enjoy some good food, and learn more about the museum and the work we're doing to preserve Ellinwood's history.

And there's an important reason we're raising money for the roof.

The Museum of Ellinwood is home to artifacts, photographs, documents, and other pieces of our community's history. The condition of the museum's roof is getting worse, and protecting what is inside starts with protecting the building itself.

🏠 Adopt a Square Foot

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to repair or replace the museum roof, and we're making it possible for everyone in the community to have a literal piece of that effort.

$10 = 1 square foot of roof.

Adopt one square foot. Adopt ten. Adopt a whole lot more. Every square foot helps us get closer to a roof that will protect the museum and the history inside it for years to come.

Those who adopt 10 or more square feet will receive a certificate commemorating their contribution to the Museum of Ellinwood roof campaign.

We are incredibly grateful to the Golden Belt Community Foundation for awarding the Museum of Ellinwood a $4,000 grant toward this project. Their support gives us a strong start as we begin our community fundraising campaign, bringing us 20% of the way toward our $20,000 goal.

🏛️ Come see what we're protecting.

The Museum of Ellinwood will be open during the event, so if you've never been inside—or haven't visited in years—this is a great opportunity to explore the collections and see the history we're working to preserve.

You don't have to be a longtime museum supporter to come. You don't have to know anything about Ellinwood history. Just come have a hotdog, enjoy a non-alcoholic martini, look around, and see what makes this little museum worth protecting.

Admission is free. Donations to the roof campaign are welcome.

If you plan to adopt square footage that evening, bringing your checkbook is helpful, although you certainly don't need to wait for the event to contribute.

Our Roof. Our History.

Come help us put a roof over it. ❤️
