Join us at the Kittitas County Historical Museum for a two-day, hands-on ???????? ??? ??????? ???????? with artist and tradition bearer ????? ????????.

Cornhusk weaving is a traditional practice used to create functional and decorative items from natural materials. During this immersive workshop, participants will learn foundational weaving techniques and create a ????? ???? ???????? ??? to take home.

Jenny was raised on the Nez Perce Reservation and learned traditional skills through family teachings and hands-on experience. She was introduced to cornhusk weaving at Nez Perce National Historical Park and has continued to develop her practice through years of study and work with master weavers across the Northwest. Her work has been featured at the Northwest Native American Weavers Conference, in the ????ℎ??????’? ???????? ?????? ?? ?ℎ? ???????? ?????? magazine, and at the Burke Museum’s Bill Holm Center in Seattle.

This two-day workshop builds skills over time, and ?????????? ?? ???????? ??? ???? ????. Previous weaving experience is helpful, but all skill levels are welcome.

A lunch break will take place at noon; participants may bring lunch, order delivery, or explore nearby restaurants. ?️
