We’ll paddle 9.5 miles from Morgans Bridge to the Savannah-Ogeechee Canal and our campsite on April 25 and then another 6 miles from the canal to Kings Ferry on April 26 (with side trips up the Canoochee too!) And, for those interested in gastronomical pursuits, Love’s Seafood restaurant sits adjacent to our final take out! Our camp will be on the grounds of the historic Savannah-Ogeechee Canal Museum and Nature Center where we’ll learn about this transportation canal built in the 1820s. Amenities include a pavilion where we’ll serve meals and conduct programs, restrooms with showers, walking trails along the canal and Ogeechee River and many interpretive displays addressing the history of the canal.
